Not so long ago, a woman who stepped outside the role of dedicated mother and wife,
took the risk of uncertain survival and of being labeled a sinner.
We owe endless acknowledgement and gratitude to those early suffragists and feminist activists
who cared enough to persevere through the unrelenting slings and arrows,
so that women and girls now have choices.
